How do you actually package up or decide how you are going to work with your clients?

Deciding how you will work with clients is a key question for you to decide. And really you want to do for yourself what you do with clients.

What you do with clients is you get them to establish the life they want to live before you help them design the business. Because if you design the business and start implementing all these things that don’t match the life they want to live they are going to be really unmotivated and unhappy and they are not going to stay with you.

You need to do the same for yourself. You need to decide:

  • How many hours do you want to work a week?
  • What kind of people do you want to be working with?
  • Would you rather have one or two really high vale clients that you only see once a month or do you want 10 clients that you see weekly?

Start with how you want to live and work backwards towards the packages you create.

Standard coaching packages

Weekly

You will work with the client once a week whether it is an hour on the phone, or in person. Maybe they can contact you via email if they need assistance, you can decide on the boundaries. You can charge anywhere from $1000 to $5000 a month. Usually, it works out around $500 per coaching session.

Fortnight/ monthly

You could separate your coaching sessions out. Instead of it being weekly it can be every two weeks, or it could even be monthly. You might lower the monthly fee depending on this. Usually, coaches will charge around $500 a month for monthly coaching.

Once-off

You could also get everything done in one day. You can decide you are only going to work with people who want a full day once a month. Then you are going to charge $2000- $5000 for the full day. You can deliver content and have it all mapped out on what exactly a day would look like.

Check-ins

Another package could be a few hours a month and then just have a check-in every now and again. Coaches might do 2-3 hours a month with proper sessions and then accompany that with a phone call every 2-weeks.

One important thing to remember is that you don’t want to have too many packages.

Our Certified Partner Programme

As part of the Certified Partner Programme, you get the exact recipe of which packages to use and at what price point depending on your level of coaching confidence. We also have precise guidelines for our recommended service offerings use our “Stacked Client” Framework to maximise profit and results while minimising the time spent with clients.  This gives you the best practices on how to work with your clients.

This includes things like, whether they get email access to you, how my hours a week you coach them, which days of the week and what tools and resources you provide. You can take always modify these packages and customise them to suit your preferences, but these are just our recommended best practices we have seen work for lots of coaches.

Conclusion

In terms of the way you work with clients, it is your business and it needs to be aligned with the kind of lifestyle you want. So whether in three years you want to be working 10 hours a week or 3 hours a month, will determine the kind of packages and the kind of clients you go after.
